Pro: Decent list of emergency power outage supplies & tips

Con: Major power utilities in California are deliberately shutting down often enough blackout kits are in regular rotation.
This is such an insidious slip in to New Normal.

Sure, privatized utilitues could spend money on infrastructure upgrades and hazard reduction. Or they could declare it’s cheaper to reduce functionality & service and brand it as a safety measure.

Behold the joy of capitalism.
Even the phrase “de-energization” as a risk management strategy is so 1984 newspeak that I cannot even.
