When you're 75....

▪ What will matter to you most?
▪ What will you absolutely stand for/detest?
▪ What won't be acceptable?
▪ What regrets do you not want to have?
▪ What are the top 3 values you want to be remembered for?
▪ What do you want your legacy to be?
Q: But how do I get there?
A: The right question my friend is, "how do I get there ONE STEP CLOSER". Think "incremental" (layovers) rather than "long haul".
Q: Where do I start?
A: Use an effective goal planner to hash out your desires. Can be a notebook/@Evernote if you have one. An effective planner is one that is an overview of you. One that won't make you feel overwhelmed, preventing you to take action.
@evernote If you don't have a #goalsetting planner yet, use my very own quick & easy 5-page Gear Yourself For Success Workbook aka #GYFSWorkbook.

Download it for FREE here: bit.ly/GYFSworkbook
@evernote Q: Okay so I have a planner, now what?
A: Spend 1-3 hours to 24 hours fleshing out your wants, needs, challenges & strengths. You have to do a S.W.O.T Analysis and turn that into S.M.A.R.T. goals.

Again: SWOT ---> SMART
@evernote Q: Once I'm done, what should I do next?
A: Review your planner daily. Set a schedule (works best on phone & laptop). Stick to it.

I recommend DAILY, WEEKLY & MONTHLY.
@evernote I'm a big fan of self-auditing & iteration so you'll know what to change, adjust, remove along the way.
@evernote 📝 Key takeaways (1/6):

▪ Failure is data.

▪ What you measure aka Key Performance Indicators (KPI), gives you leverage. Use this to adjust. Having benchmarks will be the highlights of your life.
@evernote 📝 Key takeaways (2/6):

▪ A compilation of these tiny wins is what will make up your ideal life.

▪ Everytime you overcome yourself, you minimise your doubt.

Wanna know the logic behind it?
It's this:
@evernote 📝 Key takeaways (3/6):

The act of overcoming yourself answers the subconscious dialogue, "See, what you did there? Told you, you can do it!"

(Beware it's also the same for doubt & self-sabotage)

"Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right." — Henry Ford
@evernote 📝 Key takeaways (4/6):

▪ Overcoming adversities or challenges adds more fund to your "ideal life bank". (Dopamine & serotonin neurochemicals are released so you feel good & wanna do them again).
@evernote ▪ Repetition of habit establishes and strengthens neural pathways in your brain. #Neuroscience proves this.
@evernote 📝 Key takeaways (5/6):

▪ Any repetitive information/actions, you retain them better than others.

It's the same logic how come you've mastered handwriting or memorising your basic info like your address.

It becomes second nature.
@evernote 📝 Key takeaways (6/6):

You're essentially reinforcing your brain to recognise that this routine is needed for your survival.

That's it!

▪ KNOW YOURSELF > SET GOALS > TAKE ACTION.

If you follow this system, you've won 50% of the battle.
