another FB earnings beat amid the PR crisis
this might complicate FB's week

nytimes.com/2019/10/30/tec…
::turns head, awkwardly looks towards menlo park::

you have to imagine that after FB dunking on twitter for so many years with copies and product unveils that Jack is feeling p good right now
Zuckerberg on the earnings call basically doubling down on Political ads. doesnt directly address Twitter thing (yet)
doubling down meaning holding their current policy
he's pretty impassioned
"We estimate that these ads from politicians will be less than 0.5 percent of our revenue next year." — Zuckerberg finally giving numbers to how much political ads represent on FB revenue
taht was a pretty intense speech
here's Zuckerberg's entire speech from the call

facebook.com/zuck/posts/101…
Zuckerberg addresses antitrust and says he thinks all the scrutiny is going to be their acquisition of instagram. that's really a significant thing since FB really hasn't publicly delved into any of the specifics of the antitrust case and what the FTC is doing
lemme correct half of this — his quote is right but my second half isn’t. He’s giving numbers on how “ads from politicians” represent slice of revenue, not all political ads.
