Kudos to Jack

Twitter will stop all paid political advertising on its platform starting 11/15. Jack explains the rationale in the enclosed thread.

Assuming Twitter's Board of Directors has done its due diligence on this business decision, I applaud Jack's leadership on this.
I find @jack's rationale reasonable and compelling. I asked myself whether we will be better off if all social media platforms made the same decision. To me, the answer is yes.
@jack I would be absolutely opposed to such a decision mandated by government, but I would applaud private enterprises making this decision on their own, in consultation with their own shareholders.
@jack Not About Free Speech
This has nothing to do with free speech, so long as govt is not involved. This decision from Twitter is the equivalent of a hypothetical decision by say Postal Service (if it were a private enterprise) to no longer accept and deliver "political junk mail."
