If you point out basic facts about the British Empire - that the British deliberately adopted policies that caused as many as 29 million Indians to starve to death in the late 19th century, say - you smack into a wall of incomprehension and rage.

The British empire included 77 countries including India and 15 countries in Africa. 458 million people were oppressed in this empire–1/4 of the world’s population at that time under British colonialism.

At that time England had the highest standard of living in the world based on the near starvation of the people in Africa, India and the other colonies.
