I'm intrigued by how these right wing culture warriors deploy two, seemingly contradictory arguments.
1. America's historically dominant culture is superior to any other culture on earth.
2. America's dominant culture is perverse, decadent, and will lead to the nation's downfall.

Squaring this circle is not hard. As long as "American culture" is associated with the cultural productions of a certain set of (mostly) white men, then it's salubrious. But when people outside that category claim a stake on that culture, then we are slouching toward Gomorrah.
Flashback to another great moment in Daily Wire, pro-Trump racism.
Both Shapiro and Knowles love to clutch their pearls about how "our culture" is being degraded by people they disagree with. And then they gleefully disseminate racism for lulz.
And then they wonder why institutions that genuinely care about ideas and culture, i.e. universities, have serious reservations about allowing bozos like them to make public presentations on their campuses.
