I'm unimpressed with the #impeachment process thus far.

Trump should have been impeached in January for his crimes and abuses.

#Kavanaugh and #Barr should be impeached too. And those defying subpoenas should be arrested.

Anything less is soft-pedaling.
Let's be real:

The day Trump and Miller started kidnapping babies was the day Trump should have been #impeached.

In fact, he should be tried for crimes against humanity.

And if you think I'm exaggerating, ask the last surviving Nuremberg prosecutor...

To those who say "but centrists win elections" riddle me this:

What's the point of winning elections if the country keeps tilting to the far right?

Example: Obama won and then expanded Bush's drone policy, extrajudicial killings, and indefinite detention.
In a country where progressive issues have majority support, how is the Supreme Court now a rightwing rubber stamp?

Why are we leaving the #ParisAgreement?

Why are kids dying in cages?

Why are racism and white supremacy flourishing?

How do we have such #ExtremeInequality?
How are we going backward on women's rights?

How are we turning into #Gilead??

It's because despite occasional Dem victories, the system is structured to preserve the patriarchy and oligarchy. It's designed to enrich the rich and powerful at everyone else's expense.

I WAS WRONG IN 2016

The more time passes, the more I realize 2016 was the time to overhaul the system. It was the time for a political revolution.

And here's why: Winning one election (eg. Obama or Clinton) is winning a battle, but the Dem establishment has been losing the war.
My vigorous advocacy for Hillary Clinton in 2016 was in good faith. I thought it was the right thing to do. But I ended up in a bitter fight with #Bernie supporters whose progressive views I share. I regret it.

But we ALL have to look inside and own up. That's what I've done.
That's why you don't see me attacking Hillary to ingratiate myself with anyone. That would be cheap and disingenuous.

All I can do is keep trying to grow and evolve. Because I have a fair number of followers on Twitter, it's a public process.

Hopefully it helps heal wounds.

A note on #impeachment -

In a court of law, under non-presidential circumstances, impeachment is a tool litigation attorneys use to discredit the opposing side's witnesses at trial. When said witness takes the stand under oath attys. present evidence contrary to what the witness
claims. This weakens the other side's case by discrediting impeached witnesses's testimony. Once a witness has been impeached - by presentment of inconsistent testimony - the judge/jury can no longer use the impeached witnesses's testimony in reaching a verdict.
Simply put, they aren't trustworthy. In the case of Presidential impeachment that broad definition of impeachment applies, but the impeachment tool is used for a very different purpose. Under the Constitution, a sitting President cannot be tried in a court of law for anything.

Trump should have been removed from office 2 yrs ago. Trump, his criminal children, criminal associates have access to all secrets and are using the office to enrich themselves. They are the biggest national security threat that are endangering America and our allies #impeachment
The fact that Trump a criminal associated with Russian mobsters for almost 4 decades was not prosecuted earlier and allowed to even run is the biggest intel failure in our history. These are lifelong criminals who deal w transnational organized crime and have access to everything
