Thread on the world’s unluckiest peace lover:

In 2004 Jeremy Corbyn attended a conference in Mumbai. It had a lovely cuddly title “General Assembly of the Anti-War Movement”

But it turns out that it wasn’t so cuddly after all.
Not only did Jeremy Corbyn attend this conference - he was one of the speakers.

The session he spoke at was predictably all about “US Imperialism”
The speakers alongside Jeremy Corbyn on this panel were very clear about what they termed the “Iraqi resistance” and Corbyn did not correct the other speakers or disagree with them.
Instead, Jeremy Corbyn was keen to make sure that the “agenda on war” was not controlled by the BBC.
Another (Iraqi) speaker alongside Jeremy Corbyn defended terrorists in Iraq as merely those revolting against US Imperialism. Again, Corbyn doesn’t seem to have challenged this assertion.
And of course - because no event at which Jeremy Corbyn is a speaker can be complete without a Palestinian terrorist in attendance alongside him - up pops......an infamous Palestinian terrorist
The terrorist that every extreme Leftist antisemite admired in the 1970s: Leila Khaled
So there you go.
The man that Labour moderates like @tom_watson want the country to elect to government: speaking yet again alongside terrorists, apologists for terrorism, antisemites and opponents of Western democracy.

Vote Labour.

Ends
