UPDATE: A heavily-promoted contest to win breakfast with President Trump in New York City on September 26 was a fraud.

The "winner" of the contest did not have breakfast in Trump.

Instead, she was invited to a breakfast that Trump did not attend

UPDATE: Last Thursday, I reported that Facebook was a sponsor of Kavanaugh's keynote speech to the Federalist Society.

Facebook told me it didn't see anything wrong with it.

Many Facebook employees disagreed.

And now Facebook is changing its tune.

2. A source tells me that a member of Facebook's public policy team responded to employee complaints on an internal Facebook message board and said "we made a mistake" in sponsoring the Kavanaugh speech

Facebook told employees it would take steps to remedy the situation
3. I asked Facebook about the difference between what it was now telling employees internally and what it told me last Thursday about sponsoring Kavanaugh's speech.

"We’re not going to have any comment on this, Judd," a Facebook spokesman told me.
