I have decided to watch The Boys, because (1) I’m a fan of the comic, and Garth Ennis in general, and (2) I had it recommend to me.
I was intrigued that Karl Urban is playing Butcher, because Butcher is one of the most interesting and original comic characters in decades. And while Karl Urban doesn’t have the build, he has the PRESENCE, the INTENSITY.

I’ve been a fan of his since he played Caesar on Xena.
In the comics, Hughie was based on Simon Pegg, who is too old to play the role now—but they cast him as Hughie’s dad, which I thought was a nice touch.

@Lead1225 RR’s argument is that Christianity cannot meet the evidential standards commonly used in other areas. He presents a trilemma:
@Lead1225 1 If we lower the standards of rationality for Christianity, we can get it, but we get all other religions too
2 If we maintain high standards of rationality, we don’t get it, or
3 If we lower standards for Christianity and raise them for other religions, we are irrational

You do understand that “There is insufficient evidence for any god of any flavour” is a CLAIM, right?

Can you DEMONSTRATE THAT CLAIM?

Or do you think it is TRUE until PROVEN FALSE, as I said?

Which is it?
Because every time you say “burden of proof!” or “prove it!” you are saying you are right unless you are proven wrong.

And THAT is an argument from ignorance.

“I don’t know that God exists, so God does not exist unless I acquire this knowledge.”
Which is of course idiocy, since the existence of God does not depend on your lack of knowledge.

The fact that you think it isn’t shows how little serious thinking you’ve done about it.

This is the entire problem with you “rationality” lot. You think rationality is something easy and obvious—and this simplemindedness lets you rationalize all your prejudices and stupidities.
You are bunch of insufferable dogmatists—as by as any other sort of fundamentalists—but you don’t even KNOW it.

You make “rationality” an idol, and cease to be able to reason, because you’re all terrified where actual thinking might lead you.

The big news on Harry and Meghan’s baby plans is... No News. Statement from @RoyalFamily says that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to keep their plans ‘private’
So no Lindo Wing photocall like William and Kate. No announcement which hospital Meghan has chosen or whether she wants a home birth.
Not a huge surprise. When Louis was due, the media was given the plans more than 2 months before his birth. Harry and Meghan have decided, with just days to go before the due date, they do not wish to share their plans with the public 👶
