The notion this Admin can be trusted to do right thing is a pipe dream, belied by the fact they have affirmatively adopted a no tolerance agenda. 2/
From a management perspective, it’s unworkable. As anyone who knows border management can attest, baseline rules matter. If Dreamers can be deported, then they will be. Better to have the rule exclude deportation, and fight exceptions in cases where a Dreamer should leave. 3/
But from human perspective, this is asking 700k people to gamble their lives under hope that the “house” won’t bother with them. It’s not tenable. No one would risk it. So we will create an underground population from a pool that are, in all but name, citizens. 4/4
