Joey Gibson/Patriot Prayer legal BS thread! This is going to be long 😬

In a video posted to Facebook on Sat, 11/9/19, Gibson provides an update on his case against Cider Riot, a new lawsuit against him & several others, then puts forth a new plan of action: sue everyone.

(1/?)
(2) Gibson first addresses their 11/10/19 "prayer march," saying, "If you feel the calling but you're kind of scared to come, maybe that's god trying to push you to come." Doesn't "expect there to be any antifa present." Tells people who come to "stay positive & stay on point."
(3) Gibson continues with a recap of the Cider Riot case (portlandmercury.com/blogtown/2019/…), saying that "the judge made some interesting comments" & he was "very pleased to hear what he had to say."
(4) Gibson: "[The judge] basically said that I did not do anything wrong, was not violent, it's very obvious that I was not violent, & that Cider Riot's going to have a hard time proving that I should be liable for the actions of other people."
(5) Gibson: "[The judge] also said that I did nothing wrong violent-wise. I was not violent. He said it's very obvious. So that's good for my criminal case."

Gibson then details "another lawsuit that's being brought down on" him, Tiny Toese, & some WA cops from a 2017 incident.
(7) Then Gibson moves on to calls to action: "So what do we do? The only thing that we can do is we need to fight back the same way they are. They want to open up the Pandora's box of lawsuits. We need to begin to sue these people for everything that they do."
(8) Now that Cider Riot's sued him, Gibson says, "Think about all the businesses that the left harasses all the time. They need to start suing. All the times that we've been assaulted by these groups—now we can hold 'the leader' responsible for the actions of other people."
(9) Gibson: "I'm getting contacted by numerous people from all kinds of different areas, even business owners, people who feel like that they've been harassed, that...their business has been ruined."
(10) Gibson: "Cider Riot believes that they have a right to sue me bc I asked people to leave reviews on them, right? So this is a tactic of the left. They will put 100s of negative reviews on you that has nothing to do with your business" for being conservative or Christian.
(11) Gibson: "So I'm going to ask you guys to please reach out to me. If you're interested in bringing a lawsuit against any of these areas in Portland, let me know, OK? Because we need to start piling it up. We need to fill the courtrooms with cases, OK? Whether you win or not."
(12) Gibson: "If you want help finding a lawyer, please contact me. I'll point you in the right direction. If you've been assaulted, if you've been slandered in any way—I'm talking about @RoseCityAntifa. I'm talking about @CAIROregon. I'm talking about @IGD_News."
(13) Gibson: "I'm talking about @wweek. I'm talking about the mayor of Portland. I'm talking about everybody, ladies & gentlemen—everybody. And I know there's a lot of you out there who asked for help from the police & never got it. I know there's a lot of people out there..."
(14) Gibson: "...who've been lied about [or] you've lost your job, OK? So we're going to begin to pile it on."

Again: "We need to begin to sue these people for everything that they do," "fill the courtrooms with cases...whether you win or not."

(15) Supposition on my part here, but to me this looks like Patriot Prayer using kids as bait in their quest for frivolous lawsuits against "the left":
tfw u gonna get sued
(16) Circling back to what Joey Gibson said about his very non-violent conduct, there's some interesting info in Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Brad Kalbaugh's affidavit in support of an arrest warrant (count 1 - riot) for Gibson in the Cider Riot case.
(17) The affidavit describes video of Joey Gibson "repeatedly challenging members of the Antifa group to fight him as he says 'do something' and taunts them from a sidewalk." Gibson "physically push[ed]...the woman who was eventually knocked unconscious by Ian Kramer."
(18) The sworn testimony doesn't seem to jive with what Gibson interpreted from the judge (see 4 & 5 in this thread, ), but I guess I'm going to have to comb through Bob's videos now to see for myself.
(19) In the Facebook vid (facebook.com/watch/?v=30134…), Gibson says: "So basically they want to make it impossible for you to be able to defend yourself. They have the police stand down, right? And so now they're going to sue you. If you defend yourselves, they're going to sue you."
(20) Gibson con'td: "Even me—I never even defended myself. I've been assaulted multiple times. And so they’re going to try to sue me. It's unbelievable."

Evergreen incident aside, sworn testimony wrt Cider Riot incident shows Gibson is misrepresenting his "non-violent" conduct.
(21) James Buchal, Gibson's lawyer, also chairs the Multnomah Co. Republican Party. He "says the pending criminal charges [wrt Cider Riot] are 'part & parcel of the dishonest campaign by Portland leaders to blame out-of-town demonstrators for violence that began & persists..."
(22) "... because Antifa wants to shut down any right-wing demonstrations in Portland."

wweek.com/news/courts/20…
(23) James Buchal: "This is a political case. Mr. Abram Goldman-Armstrong is a leader of the antifa community. He makes [Cider Riot] a support to antifa....There's no dispute that the antifa people are committed to deplatforming [Joey Gibson's] events."

(24) James Buchal cont'd: "We know that [those with Cider Riot] had intelligence so that they all ran out of the bar to meet Mr. Gibson even before he arrived armed with the mace & the batons & the brass knuckles & wearing their masks."

(25) James Buchal cont'd: "Less than 48 hours after this happens, bang, the lawsuit is filed. It's a classic strategic lawsuit against public participation." (SLAPP)

(26) So Gibson's lawyer sees the Cider Riot suit as a SLAPP case. Now Gibson apparently plans to retaliate in kind, along with as many others as he can muster:

Where's the money for all this going to come from?
