Audrey Eu SC, on behalf of #CUHK student union chief Jacky So seeking injunction to ban police entry, argues there’s no rioting WITHIN Uni precinct; there’s only evidence that #HongKongPolice entered the campus & students responded to “an invasion of their home & try to defend” 
Eu: we’re not asking the court to condone violence & the legal conducts of rioters, nor trying to tie the police’s hands. We’re asking #HongKongPolice have to enforce the law in accordance to the law, no more no less #CUHK #HongKongProtests
Eu: there should only be 3 conditions for police to enter #CUHK, a private premise. 1) with a search warrant, 2) at the invitation of the owner, 3) section 50(4) of the #HongKongPolice Force Ordinance, which reads as below:

Jenkin Suen SC, for the Govt, says Eu’s argument can’t be any further from the truth. He said students & protesters were throwing petrol bombs & bricks down a bridge 2 Tolo Highway & attacked #HongKongPolice officers on Mon, & Eu’s factually wrong 2 suggest it was peaceful b4 Tue
Suen said the whole incident was triggered by the objects thrown at the highway & the East Rail tracks starting from Monday, & so the #HongKongPolice arrived to clear the bridge & station there to prevent potentially devastating crimes of objects thrown at vehicles/trains
Suen said bricks were being dug out within the precinct of #CUHK & he argues it’s factually wrong for Eu to say there’s no evidence of crime WITHIN Chinese University
Suen said #HongKongPolice we’re entitled to enter #CUHK near the bridge becuz of a breach of the peace there, which he said should be defined as a public place under the Public Order Ordinance. That’s becuz the public has access 2 the place, i.e. the Uni campus near the bridge
