Watch as a cop at last night’s protests in Harlem against police brutality in the subway pulls out his taser on a protestor who simply pointed his finger near the cop’s face.

Seeing some of the comments below.

First, you don't pull a taser on someone because you are annoyed or they are testing your patience. There are plenty of police maintaining that line without even yelling, pushing or shoving. It would have been excessive and unnecessary force.
Second, you are not supposed to pull your taser (or draw your gun) if you don't intend to use it. You don't pull it on people as a threat.

If this cop actually intended to use it, then that would have massively escalated this situation. There were hundreds of people protesting.
I think it says something about how conditioned we are to police violence that we think a taser is a reasonable way of dealing with protestors, who by the way were on a public sidewalk, where the police had set up a barricade.

There was no threat to public safety.
We see Black and Brown teenagers tased all the time for refusing to "comply" with police orders. That was part of what this protest was about. That should be enough for everyone to be marching on the streets.
Will it take White people being tased for jaywalking before we realize this is not OK?
