The @iealondon is - notionally at least - a charity. The @CharityComms guidance says: "Whether or not charities choose to undertake political activity, they must never support or oppose a particular political party" (assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/upl…).
@iealondon @CharityComms Not a Charity lawyer but it's hard to square the IEA saying: "Labour's manifesto is to borrow... hundreds and hundreds of billions of pounds... throwing all kinds of fiscal responsibility out the window" with the absolute ban on Charities "opposing a particular political party."
