Big media & poll-reading "forecasters" tried to prop up Kamala Harris, early. But reality typically wins.

She's a faker in the era of authenticity. Her own father condemned her pandering.

She came across as nasty & was the least liked top-tier.

Good piece. But this isn't deep.
No one is a bigger believer in big data than me, obviously. I choose unconventional over conventional political wisdom each time. But that doesn't mean you can afford to cast away or forget the fundamentals, the basics.

Every campaign for POTUS must start with a justification.
Big data is a tool to help a campaign articulate and disseminate a justification. It's not supposed to replace it or worse, define it.

Voters didn't know who she was or what she stood for. Maybe she didn't, herself.

That's a poll-tested fake. We live in the era of authenticity.
"Extensive polling led her to believe that there was great value in the word 'truth,' so she titled her 2019 memoir 'The Truths We Hold' and made a similar phrase the centerpiece of her early stump speech: 'Let’s speak truth.'”

It flopped BC her actions indicated it wasn't real.
From there, the Harris Campaign has pushed a series of incoherent, muddled messages from "Speak Truth" to knocking off "Hillary's 3AM Ad" to "Justice for Trump!"

Again, none of it was real and voters aren't as stupid as the political elite in this country believes them to be.
Nearly a year later, and a few months before the Iowa Caucuses, someone please tell me what the justification was for Kamala Harris to run for President of the United States.

What made her "the" candidate for this moment?

Anyone?

No one knows.
You might agree w/ a candidate's justification. You might not. But every successful presidential campaign in modern history had one.

Bush 2000: Return integrity to the Oval Office, ironically in front of a nationalist backdrop.

Bush 2004: He's kept us safe.

Obama 2008... Easy
Justifications continued...

Obama 2008: Hope during economic turmoil and Change from the never-ending war trajectory.

Obama 2012: "Forward" not backward to vulture capitalism and plutocrats (Romney).

Trump 2016: Also very easy, though big media still cannot figure it out.
While it's true that Kamala Harris isn't out of the race, yet, at this point her campaign is in such disarray that she needs a win by default.

Meaning, someone or several competitors would need to implode for her to gain any real traction.
