The moderate political stance in America is to spend hundreds of billions a year bombing innocent people so that a tiny coderie of corporate empires can engorge themselves to the point of global economic collapse.

Our political vocabulary has been laundered through a hired press to force us to use terms that aren’t ours. What we call “Centrism” is actually radical rightwing corporatism. What we call the “Far Left” is working class populism demanding the rich stop ending lives for money.
If the Democratic Party’s job were to win elections, it would embrace the economic policies of Bernie Sanders full throttle and wipe the floor with Republicans in every district. But their job isn’t to win elections — it’s to make sure the left loses them.
The Democratic Party fulfills its true function during the primary election, not the general. Once it succeeds in crushing socialism and nominating a far-right corporatist to the ballot, it has rendered the general election outcome pretty much incidental.
The Republican Party’s role is a lot more transparently despicable: slash taxes on corporations and the ultra rich while preaching gospel at a 4th grade reading level to the same bigoted invertebrates whose pensions they’re ripping off. In a sane system, they’d be easy to beat.
The problem is our system is not built around the principles of sanity but of unchecked property accumulation. Corporate-owned Democrats are forced to contort their message to be abstractly “oppositional” to the GOP without attacking the core structures that uphold them both.
That’s *coterie of course. The revolution will not be proofread.
