Worked 11 hours today and didn’t really have time to dig into this sh*t but let me clear up a few things bc I prefer transparency. A thread...
1) Yup, my college tuition was free bc my Mom works @ Temple as an amazing labor & delivery nurse.

2) I would not, under any circumstances, have gone into massive student loan debt for college. I wanted an MBA from Wharton. I looked at the price and said not worth it.
3) If college had cost me, I wouldn’t have gone. In fact, because I picked up a two majors and minor, it required more semesters than Ma Dukes reimbursement would cover so I got a job at a bank in college that also had a tuition payment program. Bank paid for my extra classes.
My gig as a broker didn’t even require a degree. But there I was: a black girl in a boiler room with a sea of Ivy League white dudes. And ya know what I did? Crushed that sh*t. They went hard. I went harder. I watched dudes from money drop like flies bc of the stress & workload.
Y’all will take the fact that my college was paid by Temple & the bank as an excuse for your mediocrity. Peep: also factor the part that my mom had my sister at age 16 & me at 19 and we lived in Passyunk Projects into your trash equation. And Dad who? We came from NOTHING.
I worked harder at McDonalds at 16 then most people work as adults. Eff ya raggedy ass excuses fam. I got one shot and gunned it. Y’all rationalization is pure trash.
Best thing I heard was that I lacked time management which is why I had to work so hard and sacrifice my 20s. Nope. Instead of partying, I started buying properties in my 20s and worked my broker gig AND landlord gig without a prop manager simultaneously. We different ova here.
