I did notice there were other attempts to capture conversations. The camera would zoom in to conversations and the audio was being adjusted to target that conversation. The adjustments to the audio feed were noticeable.

If this was a Sputnik camera crew, they had a prominent spot for recording. Towards the centre of the line of cameras in the room. That would be odd. Positions of prominence for recording would likely be reserved for BBC, or another more reputable news organization.
I’m unconvinced it was a Sputnik crew. Might have been a live feed, but licensed for use by Sputnik and others. The video is edited. Several shots were of the lights and then panning down to guests. It’s not one continuous shot.

The other thing I found... if you watch the 25 second recording, the only people that can be heard are facing the camera directly. Some type of sound amplification device must have been used. Meaning this was targeted to pick up conversations.
There exists certain types of spyware that can be used to amplify speech of a target in a crowded noisy room. This was the one and only conversation that was partially audible. Interesting that spyware was allowed into Buckingham Palace so close to the Queen.
This was a gaffe though. Trudeau needs to be aware he is a targeted world leader, and govern his speech accordingly. Many want to depose him and will use whatever means necessary to do so.
It’s no accident the blackface incident, FN Child Welfare court proceedings, accusations of dividing the nation & this video are being used. The NDP and CPC, with help from foreign interests are creating a narrative to assassinate Trudeau’s character. GPC uses SNC.

Trudeau is human, but he needs to be a well behaved human until after the next federal election. Attacks from both sides of the political spectrum will be plentiful, domestic and foreign.
