Yesterday I visited the brand new Poplar Works on the east side of the A12 on the north side of Aberfeldy Village next to the old Bromley Hall school. Map here google.com/maps/@51.51264…
It combines training facilities and small workshops of different sizes that you can rent.

The idea is to create a starter home for new small fashion businesses. So that this area of London one day becomes a hub for fashion businesses.
Their goal is to help people and businesses reach their full potential in the fashion industry.

Similar to what Canary Wharf Group is doing with its Level 39 tech incubator
It is a Poplar Harca project, they funded 50% of the costs
also supported by London College of Fashion & the Mayor of London

While I was there I watched a class being taught fashion skills, called 'Making for Change', London College of Fashion, as the fashion industry in London is short of trained staff

It was interesting that despite being next to the A12 how quiet it was inside.
