Fourth, the new rule say States can no longer grant waivers from federal work requirements that a person must work at least 20 hours a week for three months during a 36 month period. In other words, an able body childless person from 18-49 has to now work 240 hours every 3 years
Fifth, even then the new rule allows waivers for areas with 6% or greater unemployment. So very depressed areas will not be impacted.

Eighth, what message the new rule says has absolutely nothing to do about hungry families (see above). It does send a message to china that Trump will protect the industries that thry target in their Trade War.
Ninth, it also sends the message that if you are an 18-49 year old able body person without children you will be required to work a minimum of 240 hours every 3 years to get your food paid for by taxpayers for those 3 years. That's one hell of a deal, if you ask me.
