Since I asked that on Q&A I've asked it at speaking engagements in NYC, Boston,Chicago & just these last few days #AbantuBookFest in Soweto, SAfrica. Everywhere I explain that the ABC pulled the episode & is investigating it,people have laughed at how fragile Australian men are
The same men who complained would be nodding along enthusiastically had I limited my comments to Muslim men’s misogyny. But because I included all men in my comments on misogynist violence, those white men are livid & continue to tweet hysterically at me,5 weeks after the episode
It is astonishing that my comments on Q&A continue to disturb at time when the country is literally on fire. I am proud to have been censored by the ABC and I am honoured that I turned #Australia upside down with my comments.
The ABC has censored only episode of #qanda w/non-male panel; just women & a non-binary person. What does that tell you? I will continue disturbing & disrupting patriarchal sensibilities by asking “How many rapists must we kill before men stop raping women?” Fuck the patriarchy
