Just received an email from a very prominent member of the Remain community asking me whether "if the election goes the wrong way for us" it could be voided on the basis of Laura Kuenssberg's remarks.
However convinced you may be that 'the people' have got it wrong, democracy means accepting that it's for them to choose. And if you doubt democracy is up the task then at least have the moral courage to come out and argue for that position.
(And I know what you'll say - but you're wrong. The cases I've brought have all been about preserving the right of our elected Parliament to fill the space that our elected Parliament left for itself when it enacted an advisory Referendum in 2015.

Brexit is not, for most Remainers, about our legal relationship with other member states. It's about a value system we feel Brexit imperils. If Brexit happens that value system will have lost a battle. But if we talk about voiding General Elections it will have lost the war.
(I should add explicitly what was implicit. There are also many millions of people whose lives or livelihoods are directly affected by Brexit and it's important that, in making the point my thread tries to make, I don't overlook them.)
