⚡️Whoa. Ukraine's interior minister says police have detained suspects in the 2016 car-bomb assassination of journalist Pavel Sheremet.
Ukrainian interior ministry and police tell me they won't comment on the Sheremet suspects until a briefing this evening. But one clue may be this: musician Andriy Antonenko posted on Facebook that he was being arrested for Sheremet's murder and his home was being searched. 
Interior Minister @AvakovArsen has announced a press conference at 430pm/5pm Kyiv time (in 30min-1hour) to provide more details about the suspects apprehended in the Sheremet murder. It'll be broadcast live.

@pressfreedom Along with Ukrainian musician Antonenko, it seems Ukrainian Yulia Kuzmenko has also been detained for Sheremet's murder, according to her colleagues. Both Antonenko and Kuzmenko were also volunteers who participated in the war in eastern Ukraine.

@pressfreedom @radiosvoboda If you've followed the Sheremet murder case you'll recall that the two people who planted the bomb beneath his car were a man and a woman in disguise. Here's CCTV footage obtained by police and @OCCRP and shown in this investigation about the case:

There it is. Ukrainian police name suspects as Yulia Kuzmenko and Andriy Antonenko. They tie Antonenko to the crime via his sweatshirt logo. See above in this thread for background on that.

Ukrainian police say they have 5 suspects in murder of Pavel Sheremet: Andriy Antonenko, Yulia Kuzmenko, Yana Dugar, and Vladislav and Inna Grishchenko. All have military experience. Grishchenkos made the bomb, Antonenko and Kuzmenko planted the bomb. Dugar was the location scout
To sum up: 5 suspects named. All are Donbas war volunteers. Police say their motivation was to destabilize the political situation and radicalize Ukrainian patriots. No info whether they had orders from someone above. And nothing said about possible SBU connection.
