First is for fast tracking citizenship to persecuted minorities of three Islamic states. No Indian of any religion should have any problem with that. So stop opposing #CitizenshipAct on its own merits first.

Religion is an existing underlying factor while classifying foreigners into 2 pools (persecuted/ others) because of 3 countries being Islamic states.

Any scheme has nuts & bolts for verification. Remember #CAB excludes Hindus of SL, Myanmar as well as those arriving after 31.12.2014

It’s common knowledge about many ghettos where they are living in open view. But we have just ignored.

Personally I’m against nationwide NRC as logistics is too complex and will cause lot of unnecessary pain.

@BDUTT @htTweets And you know what’s the biggest hypocrisy. While you indulge in scaremongering based on HYPOTHETICAL cases, you kept quiet on REAL cases for decades.
Refugees of 1947-48 living in J&J did not have full citizenship till 31-10-2019.

@BDUTT @htTweets There is no single magic bullet to solve the issue of all type of illegals currently in India. #CitizenshipAct is only for one class of people from 3 countries who were hounded out & have no hope of returning to their original homes.

There will be different solution for others.

@BDUTT @htTweets Proposed #NRC is to ONLY identify illegal immigrants. Ideal solution is peaceful repatriation to their respective countries with consent of their governments. That will give them also a second chance to live with dignity. With BD prospering, they should not have problems.

@BDUTT @htTweets Today economic condition of #Bangladesh is very different than what it was a decade back. Even overall climate is calm and peaceful relatively.

With opportunities abound, why would Bangladeshi brothers not want to return home.
