HERE'S WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT OPINION... And why you should not let it stop you.

At midnight, I was on a video call with a friend. We spoke till 3am

It appears to me that my best ideas come at night. I find myself spilling things that shock me

We were talking about opinion

My friend runs a consult, she is a speaker and accent coach.

She has lived in Britain and speaks like the British. Naturally.

And sometimes the opinion of people when they hear her speak is that she is faking it, even though they are wowed by how beautiful and smooth she speaks

So we got talking about opinion and here's what I shared with her:

Opinion is never reality.

Has never been, will never be.

People's opinions are formed by their experience and as such, when their experiences change, their opinions change.

So when people have an opinion of you, it actually is not your fault. It is actually them projecting their experience to you.

So anytime you allow the opinions of people to define you, what you have done is allow their experience limit you.

I'll say that again:

Anytime you allow the opinion of people define you, you have simply allowed their experience limit you.

So your job is not to bother yourself about the opinions of people, because whether you like it or not, they will express it (it is their experience remember?)

Your job is to create new experiences for them that will now help them form nee opinions.

I don't know if you got that.

People's opinions should not control or define you, instead, you should create new experiences for them that will help them form new opinions.

And how do you create new experiences?

By going ahead to do that which you want to do and then presenting them with the results.

So stop allowing the opinions of people define you.

Those people are actually limited by their experiences. Don't let that limit be yours.

Do your thing.

Go hard and go all in.

Be dead to public opinion, and alive to the voice of your dream.
