It is worth noting that countless politicians and activists tried to blame these deaths on CBP and the current administration.

Just last week, the @HispanicCaucus baselessly claimed "the govt's negligence" for one of the deaths:

FYI Jakelin died as a result of "sequelae of Streptococcal sepsis" (a massive infection), not dehydration or shock (as some suggested at the time).
