@JCASLKY’s own historian Stacie @alveyinthelib is rocking it @McFerranPrep. Great advocate for #jcpslibraries & literacy/culturally responsive texts. News shows, casting vids, a sweet libguide w/ guided intros to new apps, sites, @JCPSBackpack. Trains Ss to train others, wow.

Jackie Marrs @reederchik received last year’s @JCASLKY Lucy Marx Scholarship Award. This year’s winner was (drumroll, please) @KelsieWiedmar: 8th grade reading teacher @ConwayJCPS & a @jcpsforward Ambassador. Presenting are @AlexKLibrary and @ConwayMSLibrary.
@JCASLKY Pres. Heather Hurst @AlexKLibrary is an incredible leader. She coordinated the southern hospitality rm for #AASL19 & represents us @KASL_Librarians board mtgs. She rocks it @ALexRKennedy1 w/ #HourofCode, @STLPkentucky #DigCit Wk badges, lit skills, equity, much more.
Heather & Sydney have been mentors for me as JCASL Pres-Elect. Past Pres. Sydney also serves as Membership Chair for @KASL_LIbrarians & @JCPSForward Dist. Amb. She won a 2019 #HourofCode mini grant from @ALAlibrary for @ConwayMSLibrary. And her social media & gif game are .
Ann Coomer @KenwoodElemLib was there, with a front row view of the Lucy Marx Scholly presentation. #JCPSLibraries are so fortunate to have a librarian like Ms. Coomer who lives, breathes for #studentchoice, because students read when they have choice. #weneeddiversebooks
We didn’t capture great pics of them, but the amazing Emily Grady @jctmslibrary, Carrie Mateja, and Karen Pruitt were also there and won door prizes. @LibMateja has been spotlighted by the JCPS Library Dept. this year and she does so much #HourofCode and STEM-ware.

Tamara Page promotes books, audiobooks, and ebooks 24/7 with Ss and Ts and the C-lunch book club. @EHSEaglesread also freely shares her resources with other #JCPSlibrarians. A positive presence at #EHSeagles and excellent resource to #jcpslibraries. @EasternHSMedia
Jason Highley @FESLibrary & I have served as the past two @JCASLKY treasurers. He's also served as Prez. So thankful for his #LeadingfromtheLibrary. I much appreciate he & @AlexKLibrary attending my “Teaching #MediaLit” sessions at #KASL19 & #AASL19. Next stop for me, #ALAAC20!
