This Johnson video is evoking many "oohs and aahs"

Merely indicative of Western deracination

In India, reciting a few lines from Mahabharata, Ramayana or any of the stotras sourced from purANas is so very common, that you will find dozens who can do that in every other street
The great bane of Christianity (and I regret talking about this on Christmas day) is that it effectively delinked language and religion!

Unfortunate

The result is that even very orthodox Christians today are unable to recite anything at all in Koine Greek from the New Testament
This is not quite true with Islam, though Islam is also a universalist faith

You will find orthodox Muslims recite Quran in Arabic. The association of Islam with the Arabic language has not been lost
With Christianity, the idea of the word being "sacred" seems to have eroded pretty early on. Maybe even before the Reformation

Most Christians today have read the Bible in either English, Spanish or other vernaculars - the meaning is what matters. The original words not as much
The obsession with "meaning" has meant that the sense of novelty, mystery and awe associated with the Scripture has completely gone away

Resulting in erosion of faith and growth of atheism
