MSN Poll matches all-time high for support of conviction 55%, and opposition plummets to all-time low: Many people moving from "opposition" to "don't know", big moment will be if they reach support for conviction. Image
When you follow polling daily, you learn people rarely make big jumps from Opposition to Support, but slowly move through don't know or third-party. This polling is a clear sign that Republican policy of complete obstruction is not selling well to voting public.

We treat false equivalency as a "naive" attempt at objectivity, but it is simply a pro-Republican Bias meant to help Republicans, knowing Democrats are too committed to journalistic integrity to push back on the mainstream media's pro-Republican bias.
"I’ll just be honest, when I had the third senator [to spread Russian disinformation], Senator Ted Cruz, come on my show and do this ... I did not expect to do this." @chucktodd, by his own admission, is either an idiot or pretending to be naive to help Republicans.
Reminds me of the old saying:

Fool me once: shame on you. Fool me twice: shame on me. For me thrice: I am either a fucking idiot or just pretending to be naive to make great money as a Republican stooge.

False equivalency: the tendency of reporters in mainstream media to provide equal validity to the facts & rhetoric of the Democratic & Republican Parties is used as a cheap proxy for objectivity by NYT, CNN, etc. It is actually a pro-Republican Bias and should be treated as such.
Republicans make up lies: like our healthcare bill won't kick 30+ million off of healthcare or Ukraine/DNC attacked DNC to frame Trump.

Democrats may shade the truth, but they don't lie.

Thus, by treating both Parties as equally valid, media is trashing truth & elevating lies.
Mainstream media also practices symmetric accountability. Democrats are held accountable for: bipartisanship, transparency, process, civility, integrity. But, since everyone knows Republicans don't give a shit about those things, no one hold them accountable.

It is impossible to argue the facts of what President Trump did to US. (1) His own transcript, public declarations, and mountains of evidence confirm that he withheld aid to Ukraine & asked for them to announce an investigation into his political opponents 1/x
(2) President Trump ordered that no one in his power could testify, including: Mulvaney, Pence, Barr, Pompeo, Bolton, Perry, Rudy, himself. And executive branch has refused to turn over any documents, for anything. This is complete obstruction of justice 2/x
Anyone voting to acquit Trump of these 2 charges is declaring they think it is OK for a president to extort foreign gov'ts, undermine our elections, completely obstruct justice. First, it is impossible to argue facts these events occurred. Second, impeachment is political ... 3/x

Big outlets do this constantly, cherrypicking quotes to start fights and feed a Dems in Disarray narrative. And it works every time. Too many people too hungry to fight over things people didn’t even say. Long past time to stop falling for it.
