A range (incomplete so far) of the most recent IPCC models shows 2°C by 2040, followed by 3°C- 4°C around 2060- 2080.

If this is correct, humans face a staggering, almost unthinkable catastrophe within decades.

Mangrove forests are being destroyed so quickly the whole biome is set to vanish within just a few decades.

More than 2% of mangrove forests are destroyed each year.

Nearly 50% have already been wiped out.

Extinction looms for amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds.
The mangrove biome spans over 137,760 km2 of coastal areas in 118 countries.

The largest mangrove ecosystem in the world, The Sundarbans, is under threat from human exploitation and sea level rise. ⚠️

The worst mass dieback of mangroves ever recorded: 2015, the Gulf of Carpentaria (cause: extreme heat/temporary drop in sea level/drought).

1. Allow #autistic people to take time out whenever they need to, ideally 'no questions asked'. Don't make a big deal out of this.
2. Make sure #autistic friends and relatives are sat so they have a clear escape route! I know it sounds extreme but believe me it will help anxiety. So dinner table, at the pub, in church - wherever you are, bear this in mind.
