Please stop responding to "have you read the act?" earnestly, especially if you actually have read the act word by word. Because it's not a real question. It's a classic sophistic deflection tactic. Shifts the focus on to you and makes you repeat objective facts.
Systematically sowing deflection and obfuscation in political conversations is how the right wing has been on the rise worldwide. They don't go after the flaws, if any, in your arguments. They go after the strengths, because you're most likely to passionately defend them.
Unless consciously "well left", those tactics will move the debate completely to their terms and premise. You'll just keep repeating facts they know and ignore, or don't want to know. You may find yourself eventually asked to "cite sources" for whether the sun is hot.
