Here's how and why: In 2007, the price per 'bare bones' Rafale jet quoted by Dassault was €79.3 million, and by 2011, escalation of costs had taken it to €100.85 million
.
On April 10, 2015, PM Modi announced a decision to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets instead of 126. And in 2016, a 9% discount brought the price per aircraft down to €91.75 million.

Some of our members turned to the demo organised by People’s Assembly tonight in order to support our local MP @ChrisM4Chester. Apparently it was a success overall. However I am told one of the other speakers made some incorrect statements about us, Chester for Europe /thread
1. We are not affiliated to any political party. We have members and key organisers who are members or supporters of Labour, Lib Dems, Green Party and yes even Conservatives. There is a big number of us who are not members of any party and have no intention of being.
We are ordinary members of the community who have been driven to political activism in many cases for the first time in our lives by the disgust and anger we feel at the direction the country has gone in. We are the people too and we will express our will too.

After engaging with @Eskom_SA for 2 weeks since its annual financial results on 30 Jul, the best I can extract from Eskom on the latest estimated cost to completion (CTC) for Medupi & Kusile, including flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) & interest during construction, is:
@Eskom_SA Medupi:
Approved budget CTC exc FGD & IDC: R145bn
FGD: R38,7bn
IDC: R43,7
Total Medupi CTC: R227,4bn

Kusile:
Approved budget CTC inc FGD, exc IDC: R161bn
IDC: R62,8bn
Total Kusile CTC: R223,8bn

Total Medupi + Kusile: R451,2bn
@Eskom_SA Strange to note: Despite the unauthorised expenditure, maladministration & corruption, & the design, execution & construction problems revealed of late, the basic approved budget CTCs for both Medupi & Kusile remain unchanged from that disclosed in Eskom's 2016/17 financials.

1. Every day I awaken hoping MPs would just once challenge the validity of a #Brexit that Robs us of Rights & makes us Poorer based on a non-Binding result the votes of only 25.6% of the Ppl, 37% voters & 51.8% of those voting..many of whom now regret it.
But no it's the same old
2. Autocrats of Right & Left more interested in imposing their wills on the Ppl than the current Will of the Ppl, deny us a #PeoplesVote & a #FinalSay with a #Remain option, on the basis it would undermine democracy, disillusion voters & fuel the Far Right. So #Brexit must happen
3. I repeat...the result was non-Binding & backed by only 26.5% of the Ppl 37% voters. But also these 'Democrats' don't just deny a #PeoplesVote ..they choose to ignore the flawed & probably illegal basis upon which the Ref was based. Cambridge Analytica, Foreign interference etc

Being the financial capital through which the majority of € is traded while still keeping the £.

The UK has taken the lead in efforts for EU enlargement. It pushed for the inclusion of Eastern European states. It pushed for Turkey to get its shit together so that it could join (which it made very slow progress with, and has largely been undone by Erdogan)
After #Brexit, the UK will have no influence on EU enlargement. In fact, as setting the EU as a rival, every country that joins the EU will a) strengthen the EU, and b) unravels any trade deals that the UK will have made with that country, isolating it further.

1. Dear #Remain peeps...I share the frustration & anger with the travesty of this invalid non-binding #Brexit, based on an opinion of only 37% of voters being treated as the indisputable Will of the Ppl. I too am incredulous that folks still choose to wilfully ignore facts but..
2. Please try to avoid throwing insults or using personalised language...calling people thick or stupid does not help the cause...it allows them to lump us in with them...we need to use language carefully. #Brexit campaigners lied to us..some are liars but few are stupid.
3. Many ordinary people bought into those lies...They were duped but not stupid.. we need to reach out to those who are open minded & will listen...branding them all stupid does not help...those who refuse to listen or deny evidence are choosing 2B wilfully ignorant that's all.
