What will be the U.S. political fallout from the Soleimani kill? Well, for starters, it's flushing out a LOT of left-wing lunatics and terrorist sympathizers that the Democrats really need to keep quiet if they want to win at least one state in 2020.
The lunatic fringe has disproportionate influence on the Democrat primary field, so the loons are going to pull the candidates down into the abyss by demanding they hit Trump harder over Soleimani.
Not that the candidates did themselves any favors with their "Soleimani was a bad guy BUT Orange Man Bad" statements, and Red Bernie couldn't even manage the part before the "but." They're putting their chips on mighty Iran striking some devastating blow they can blame Trump for.
The American people aren't going to think warmly of Democrats for betting against the U.S. and settling on a political strategy that only works if Iran kills a bunch of us. They're making it much too obvious, too quickly. They should have saved the "buts" for a bit later.
And even if Dems get the Iranian attack they want, the "rally round the flag" effect would likely offset their political gains. If there's no attack or the U.S. thwarts it, the 2020 election will become a formality.
What Dems forgot in formulating their foolish, panicked political strategy last night is that Soleimani has a long history of murdering Americans and just committed an act of war. They also incorrectly assumed nobody remembers Obama's lawless wars and drone strikes, or Benghazi.
In fact, Democrats have developed a remarkable memory hole about the entire Obama administration. They didn't think we'd remember the pallets of cash or the endless drone strikes. They're not going to like what non-DNC Media outlets dig up from the archives AT ALL.
And they really underestimated how this weird tactic of whining about Trump not going to Congress before icing Soleimani would make them look ridiculous and remind Americans of the worst aspects of Impeachment Theater, the biggest Dem political blunder of the election.
Remember all those Obama holdovers and lifer Deep State bureaucrats whining about how the elected President of the United States violated "their" foreign policy? That's the LAST thing Dems should be reminding voters about right now, but they're doing it. /end
