When I posted this thread yesterday, I should have linked to this as a source: impeachment-trump.com

The website happened like this.

I started (rather compulsively, I'll admit🤓) reading every deposition transcript as they were released.

Yeah, about 3,000 pages . . .
. . . OK, so actually, reading a 3,000 page record is part of the regular work of an appellate lawyer. So I'm used to it.

I took notes.
Me=🤓

My husband, an IT guy, magically turned my notes into a website, as a service.

💠Fight a disinformation campaign coming from our own government.

To see where things stand, we have to back up a bit.

Senate Rule 1 says the Senate trial kicks off when the House sends over notice of the impeachment⤵️

Pelosi isn’t moving—which has the GOP frustrated: Their plan is to get it over with fast.
1/ @LindseyGrahamSC accused Pelosi of using the Senate rules to her advantage.

So he proposed a rule change to allow the Senate to move forward without the notice—but 2/3 of Senators present are needed to change the rules, so that idea won’t go anywhere.

Senate Rules V and VII, provide that the Chief Justice shall direct preliminary preparations and “may” make all orders and rulings that an ordinary judge would make. (“May” means he can defer the decision to the Senate.)

Meanwhile, I’m going to tell you all an election story.

While in law school, I attended a lecture from a visiting elections lawyer. He was there to tell us what it was like to be an elections lawyer.
He told us this story:

A volunteer worker in a local election found a box of ballots that hadn’t been counted. She took the box out to her car. (I heard the story a long time ago, so I don’t remember her reason for that.)

It was raining.

She forgot to close the lid, so the ballots got wet.
She thought about what to do 🤔and got an idea💡

She took the ballots back inside and put them in the microwave to dry them out.

You guessed it. When she finished trying to dry them out, they were ruined and unreadable.

The hitch is that even if the Chief Justice does make a ruling, he can be overruled by a majority of Senators.

Uhhh... some questions for basically every single GOP MOC delivering the same talking points:

1. If the impeachment inquiry is being done inappropriately, why hasn't anyone cited the law or regulation that is being violated?
2. If we're just talking about precedent, is it weird to suddenly pick this one to be concerned with after a decade of smashing them? Should we ask Merrick Garland about it?
3. When during the preliminary investigations that led to Bill Clinton's impeachment was he given the opportunity to defend himself under due process?

 #TulsiGabbard is the de-facto leader of the emerging leftwing sovereign populist movement in the United States.
I suspect this is by design.
In due time, DNC and RNC will be dissolved and replaced by a #PatriotParty.
She will be one of the leaders.
2.
 She's never going to win the democratic primary, but many voters will see how the DNC and MSM have ganged up on her and will not vote for Hillary or Michelle. Some on the anti-war left might even vote Trump as an act of protest and reprisal.
3.
 If she were to run as an independent. She would siphon votes from the Democrats, not from Trump. She would actually help him. Why would a republican vote for her instead of POTUS? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
