I issued a tweet, on an FT article & made an error which I corrected within a couple of minutes.

I also thought I had attached a fuller thread ( see below)based on an FT article.

It kept going to drafts but when I thought I had succeeded I must have failed..

Lessons learned
Lesson to self I/
Quote tweeting yourself isn’t a great way of correcting

Lesson 2/. When you think you have added a thread to another tweet. Double check that it has attached.

Lesson 3/. I spent yesterday telling people I had corrected ( as I had but not in a helpful way)
Lesson 4/. In addition to quote tweeting I added a correction to the end of the thread within 7 minutes of posting it.

But it looks to me as if, often, people only read the first tweet.

So. If there is an error in the first tweet, perhaps it is better to start again.
This is the fuller more explanatory thread I thought ( in error) I had successfully attached with minutes of the first thread..

Anyway. I do apologise for any confusion caused.

Lessons learned.

And here, following recovery and examination of the flight recorder we have an admission from the Iranian prime minister that the downing of the flight was due to “an unforgivable error” of a missile launch

The unintended consequences of acts of violence

bbc.com/news/world-mid…
Did they intend to.kill 82 Iranians, 63 Canadians, 11 people from the Ukraine, nine of whom were crew members, 10 Swedes, four Afghans and three Germans who were on board the flight along with three Britons?

No. They killed their own & not US targets.
Did Trump and his administration foresee or even care that there would be unwanted.consequences on people from nations not least those from ones other than Iran who have played no part in their battle?

Who knows. They did expect retaliation.

No apology at all from that quarter
