Trump is not “the person who saved Pre-Existing Conditions in your Healthcare.” He is the president who has spent 3 years putting Obamacare’s protections for patients with pre-existing conditions at risk.
October 2016: As candidate, Trump says he wants to repeal and replace Obamacare on Day 1 in office.
July 2017: Trump says Obamacare is “death” as he tries to get Congress to strike it down.
December 2018: A federal judge strikes down Obamacare, and all of its protections, after Trump administration declines to defend the law. (The ruling is immediately appealed.)
January 2020: Trump-backed lawsuit that could strike down all of Obamacare is now on verge of the Supreme Court. (Though the White House wants the court to wait until after the election.)
