In an effort to undermine the work of the WUC, the Chinese govt has increasingly directly attacked the WUC in its propaganda, spread disinformation, targeted the family of WUC President @Dolkun_Isa and made veiled threats.

@Dolkun_Isa Since Dec 2019, Chinese govt mouthpieces & propaganda outlets published at least 4 articles spreading disinfo & lies about the work of the WUC & directly attacking/defaming the WUC & WUC President @Dolkun_Isa.

@Dolkun_Isa Articles published by the English-language propaganda mouthpiece, @globaltimesnews, published two propaganda pieces, while apparently made veiled threats to the WUC by explicitly describing the address and exterior of the WUC headquarters in Munich.

@Dolkun_Isa @globaltimesnews On 10 January 2019, Chinese propaganda @globaltimesnews published a second article stating that a press conference was held by the CCP regional government of East Turkistan to denounce and slander @Dolkun_Isa and former WUC President Rebiya Kadeer.

@Dolkun_Isa @globaltimesnews In a very cruel development, the Chinese govt attributed a quote to the sister of WUC President @Dolkun_Isa, who is in #EastTurkistan, to denounce his activism & also brought up the death of his mother, who passed away in an internment camp in May 2018.

@Dolkun_Isa @globaltimesnews This article suggested that @Dolkun_Isa father had also passed away, which he had not been aware of. To see his family used against him in this way and to learn about the possible death of his father in a Chinese propaganda article is incredibly painful.

@Dolkun_Isa @globaltimesnews “It is cruel & inhuman for the Chinese govt to use the death of my mother & my family members in #EastTurkistan to try to silence & defame me. @Dolkun_Isa @globaltimesnews These concerns were further reinforced by a serious incident that occurred on 12 Jan 2020 in Munich, where WUC President @Dolkun_Isa was threatened by family members of Shohret Zakir, the chairman of Xinjiang Regional Autonomous Region, at a memorial service in Munich, Germany.

@Dolkun_Isa @globaltimesnews The two individuals demanded that @Dolkun_Isa stop criticizing Mr. Zakir for helping to cover up and facilitate the crimes against humanity in #EastTurkistan and said if he did not stop speaking about Mr. Zakir, Mr. Isa’s family members in East Turkistan would be at risk.

@Dolkun_Isa @globaltimesnews As these individuals became increasing hostile, they attempted to physically assault @Dolkun_Isa, which was only prevented due to the intervention of other attendees at the memorial service.
