After a push from the U.S. government, China approved importing the seeds. And before that, Adcock arranged a meeting between a Dow lobbyist and Secretary Sonny Perdue about the seed issue. 
Before the meeting, a Dow lobbyist emailed Adcock and joked about the potential conflict of interest: “Maybe you can have a chair on both sides of the table… maybe you can staff them both? :) documentcloud.org/documents/6306…
Using public office to further industry interests is no joke. And Adcock is far from the only former lobbyist now working in the administration.
