In October 2017, the president directed the health department to declare that the opioid epidemic was an emergency.

Last week, the Trump administration forgot to renew the declaration: politico.com/news/2020/01/2…
HHS says this has been corrected. But public health experts say that the emergency declaration has done little to address the problem.
We launched an investigation back when the declaration was first announced to find out what steps the administration is taking to address the issue — and we have yet to obtain many records: americanoversight.org/investigation/…

This production contains emails between senior aides to former Energy Secretary Rick Perry and Michael Bleyzer, a Ukrainian-American investor and longtime Perry supporter, who was pursuing energy projects in Ukraine at the time. americanoversight.org/energy-departm…
The emails show extensive contacts between Bleyzer and top DOE officials in early 2019 as Bleyzer and a business partner were in the process of attempting to win oil and gas exploration rights in Ukraine — which they ultimately secured in July.

New evidence links Nunes aide Derek Harvey to Parnas. They were in frequent contact

In one exchange, Harvey passed along Nunes’ contact info two days before the HIC’s impeachment report indicated that a phone connex to Nunes made contact w/ a phone connex to Parnas.

Trump Administration has again taken American leadership a step backward since it announced an historically low refugee cap for FY19. It is mandated that they consult Congress before they announced this. They did not.

My colleagues and I are pushing back.
Last week, the Trump Administration made an announcement that the refugee cap for FY19 would be set at 30,000, a dramatic cut from the previous historic low of 45,000 of FY18. nytimes.com/2018/09/17/us/…

Trump's resettlement rate is currently the lowest in program history. He's also claiming that the Admin cannot address the asylum backlog while maintaining a strong refugee admissions level.
