Just received this #drone from @DJIEnterprise to get familiar with prior to an adventure in a week or so. There is so much in this little package. Searchlight (very bright BTW), speaker to communicate, zoomable 4K camera, and a long battery life. Built for #LawEnforcement use.
This #drone requires #pilots or operators to be registered with the @UK_CAA if used in the UK. If you use a #UAV over 250g then you are required to do this by law. This requires a short bit of learning of the fundementals and then your are off!! Click here register-drones.caa.co.uk
If you use your #drone for a commercial purpose, or u get any valuable consideration for your use of it; OR you fly your drone within 150m of a congested (urban) area. Then you will require a CAA permission for commercial operations. Click here to explore bit.ly/2TsTIMI
Whatever #drone you fly, #training is key to safe operation and there are some really experienced commercial training providers out there. @PoliceUAV & @EPoliceDrone provide courses for emergency users & I trained with @SkyFutures at the Fire College facility in #Gloucestershire
If you aren’t a commercial user then I would still consider some training and @PoliceDrones run some amazing short courses that will give you the fundamentals of the law and how to be a safe, & considerate pilot. For more info on these. Click here bit.ly/36Xnvkw #drone
I love using my #drone but increasingly this is viewed as a negatively by many. #drones are a great tool for many things but as #pilots we must fly responsibly. The reason for this thread is to ensure you do not unwittingly criminalise yourself. Click here bit.ly/3aft9AM
