More cult-like tonality from Trump's inner circle. Parnas had a shrine to Trump in his home. "I idolized him...I thought he was the Savior"
I see a lot of cult artifacts in Trump's messaging. Much like the head of the cult is not really the central source but is "interpreted" by followers. For example Q and Rasputinish people like Bannon. This same tonality and structure is in other groups. twentytwowords.com/most-terrifyin…
The key here is that people are driven to believe evil and do evil things as defense. Some not specifically ordered by a charismatic leader to defend followers from enemies, some are. Jonestown, Al Qaeda, SS, Manson, Trump all have these traits. marketwatch.com/story/wake-up-…
The bipolar structure of the U.S. political system and the powers vested in the President can amplify this. Which is why Charles de Secondat, Baron de Montesquieu was greatly influential in convincing the formers of the U.S. constitution to balance power and separate government.
Why? because pre-enlightenment Europe suffered greatly under royalists and cultists. Montesquieu's ideas of a Republic based on "virtue" and led by an elected official were deeply offensive to Louis XV of France who came to the throne at the age of five. ushistory.org/declaration/le…

War of the Spanish Succession was the first modern "World War" fought over who would rule Spain. Louis XIV arbitrarily proclaimed his grandson king of Spain, as Philip V. One result was the ascendancy of the mercenary company the British India East Company dailyhistory.org/What_is_the_Lo…
Sound familiar? When amoral carpetbaggers canvas self interested cultists to allow state approved violence and exploitation for personal benefit rather than social good you get this: salon.com/2017/08/08/bla…
So America is absolutely correct in punishing self interest, limiting power and demanding moral accountability. The question is why can't many Americans see how important this impeachment process is?
