This evening I had my first good view of the new @SpaceX #Starlink "train" launched Jan 7th.
Clearly visible naked eye, about mag. +2.5 to +3.0. This was a low elevation pass due south (max 28 deg elevation).

Unfortunately, initially a remnant field of clouds obscured the sky area where the #Starlink satellites would be brightest and highest in the sky. So I aimed the camera more west, where they were lower & fainter.

After more of the sky cleared, I moved the camera higher and more east to capture the tail of the #Starlink main train. This is a stack of 10 images (5 seconds each), 1 minute in total. They enter earth shadow at left:
