For the record, the Republican attack machine has NEVER gone after Bernie the way they've gone after Clinton, Warren and Biden. They spent BILLIONS trying to tear HRC down.

I'm not saying Bernie can't win.

I'm saying there is a MOUNTAIN of shit coming his way he's NEVER faced.
There's a reason they're not afraid of Bernie. There's a reason his favorability ratings haven't been dragged down by Republicans. They want him to be the candidate.

And again, they may be wrong. I don't know. Nobody knows.

But let's not pretend he's dealt with it. He hasn't.
For those saying "Bernie is clean. That's why they don't go after him." 3 things:

1. LOL. It doesn't matter. They LIE.

2. It's PROPAGANDA and they have A LOT of cash.

3. Every politician with a long career has said dumb shit. Even Bernie. They simply haven't gone after Bernie.

For those of you who didn’t live through the invasion of Iraq, here is what is about to happen:

1. There will be a MASSIVE propaganda push (by Republicans) to frame this act of war as a moral necessity and to act like anyone who opposes it is working for “the enemy.”
2. The propaganda push will include enormous appeals to American militarism disguised as patriotism: flag pins, flyovers, reverent cries to “support the troops,” as if the greatest support you can offer the troops isn’t to keep them from dying for no good reason.
3. Over time, this vague appeal to patriotism and militarism will start to have a specific aim, an invasion, bombings, the takeover of oil fields, the support of proxy wars. These aims will magically align with the financial interests of multi-national corporations.

Christianity Today was founded by Billy Graham, the most prominent evangelical figure in modern history. It is a vehemently anti-choice, conservative publication.

The second it called for Trump's removal, the entire GOP attacked it as "far-left."

THIS IS HOW CULTS THINK.
The basic psychology of cults:

1. The LEADER is sacred above all & not to be questioned.

2. Anyone who questions the LEADER is attacked.

3. The lure of the cult is the absolute certainty it offers, which is why doubt is a threat.

4. Cult members don’t know they’re in a cult.
So applying this to the modern Republican Party:

1. Trump posters, Trump rallies, Trump memes, Trump lawn signs. It’s not about policy per se. it’s about worship of authority, of a certain personality and identity. This is very different than, say, the party of George HW Bush.

The irony of American mass shootings is the mostly White males who commit them target White peers who are most likely to oppose gun control.
In other words, American mass shootings are predominantly White on White crime, at both the societal and legislative levels.
Again, take note that the folk who are most likely to be victimized by White male extremists are the least likely to hold them accountable.
