I don't watch too much anime anymore, but I feel like I definitely watched a ton of anime this decade. Here is my real and ernest top 10 shows of the decade. A lot of really, really good stuff these last 10 years.
10. Hibike! Euphonium 2 -- an absolutely beautifully drawn school drama full of well-written and memorable characters. Between small details like the minutae of concert band, to the incredible ending and character development, this is among the very best KyoAni has to offer.
9. Kiniro Mosaic -- This sweet little 4-koma adaptation was the biggest surprise of 2013 for me. A punchy, slower-paced sitcom, it glides effortlessly between comedic set-pieces and light sentimental moment. Best sit-com of the decade.

here's something you've never seen before! this is the first prototype -- serial #1 -- of the famous Hercules graphics card. while i can't date this prototype, the chips have 1982 date codes.
Hercules released their eponymous graphics board as a compatible upgrade to IBM's MDA card which is text-only. MDA only supports 80x25 text. Since each character cell is 9 pixels x 14 pixels tall, full screen resolution is 720x350.
Hercules provided a full framebuffer of 720x348 pixels. (graphics mode fell short by 2 lines for various technical reasons) since the sync signals were nearly identical, you could upgrade MDA to Hercules and keep your existing monitor!

Very cool paper, @sashankpisupati @anne_churchland! Does not look like what we get in instructed adult human subjects, though (e.g., doi.org/10.1016/j.neur… or doi.org/10.1101/439885). Another illustration of the description-experience gap, here across mice and men? [1/9]
In doi.org/10.1016/j.neur…, using a similar categorization task in humans, fitted lapse rates are only about 1-2% and typically lose against lapse-free accounts. And rightly so, if subjects have understood that task rules *never* change (which mice haven’t). [2/9]
In doi.org/10.1101/439885, using a bandit task where exploration now has a clear adaptive value, fitted human lapses are also very rare (5% on average). Instead, non-greedy/suboptimal decisions are value-dependent, driven by learning noise and a softmax choice policy. [3/9]

New #PA Congressional map is pretty much the best one Democrats could have hoped for. At least 2 pickups in neutral environment, likely ability to win 11 in current D+6 environment. Post coming
PA redraw creates map that is almost entirely drawn from scratch. Huge shifts from 2016 plan all over the place. Dems favored to win 9 seats there in almost any national environment.
(big swings mostly from renumbering, but aggregate differences are clear)
