My issue with Bernie Sanders a -thread.

In 2016, as it became clear that O’Malley and other candidates were not going to be viable, Bernie started to carve out a little more attention.
I didn’t hate Bernie for this attention-I grew to despise him later for his lies.
Bernie was not your traditional candidate for President. In addition to looking like he rolled out of bed and went on stage. He had no distinguishing parts to his resume. No key bills, was not in leadership and was not known for anything.
They made this a positive. The highest office in the land -the media laid the narrative that being unprepared and unrefined was a positive. bing.com/images/search?…
This idea of “authenticity” over preparation, over competency took off in the mind of especially young voters. You would hear ppl say I could vote for Bernie Sanders or John Kasich.

They were not judging for ideology, policy...

So far my issues have less to do w/ Sanders but the media manufacturing of him–providing advantages to him as a mediocre white man that would never be bestowed on women or people of color. Yes- Bitter party of me. That for women and especially of color disparate treatment hurts
Lynch the black woman AG, Harvard graduate w/ an illustrious career was grilled 4 days on if she was qualified with racist and sexist connotations to the question. But Bernie got to skip questions on -4 a job that comes with nuclear codes. lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com/2016/04/bernie…
He also started to play dirty. In 2008 when President Obama was running against Then Senator Clinton he was presented with the opportunity to exploit Americans predisposition to think the worst of her. He declined. It changed history. Bernie leaned in on that.
So we are today-with Sanders at 20% at best and the media will say he is viable. I can go back on Al Gores internet and find a million articles on Bernie can still win after March 2016—when we all know it was mathematically impossible. heavy.com/news/2016/03/c…
