This is the reddest herring. The Senate Is at the zenith of its power. Bolton said he'll show. If Trump claims privilege over a narrow subset of answers, it may be OK. If he tries to shut down the testimony, he's guilty of obstructing Congress. Courts have nothing to do with it.
But anyhow, yeah, Alaskans should call Murkowski and tell her what they think about her helping Trump complete his coverup.
Executive privilege doesn't bind Bolton in any way. He's free to testify if over the privilege claim if he wants. That's WHY he's writing a book.
The press can't pass this off without expecting fierce pushback. If Republicans hang their cover-up on the expectation of privilege claims it's still a cover-up. It's just blessing Trump's obstruction with deceptive language and hoping few people notice.
