It's no accident that Bernie leads Trump by widest margin of all the Democratic candidates. Based on actual polling, he has the best chance to win over Trump supporters *and* energize young voters—particularly young people of color newsweek.com/bernie-sanders…
For example, Bernie leads among black college students with 49% to Biden's 12%, which is quite remarkable considering the media narrative that Bernie doesn't do well with Black and Hispanic voters:
Meanwhile, the people telling us that Bernie is "unelectable" because he's a socialist or whatever are the same people who told us Hillary would handily beat Trump

Israel is definitely a democracy, but it's an illiberal democracy (due to Arab and Muslim citizens being effectively second class citizens). Tunisia, then, might be the closest thing to a "liberal democracy" in the Middle East

God help me if I hear someone say one more time that Israel is the "only democracy in the Middle East." Not only is saying such a thing the laziest of clichés; it's also factually wrong. Tunisia is a democracy, and it's in the Middle East

Israel-Palestine is that rare incredibly difficult "problem" whose solution is within realm of imagination: 67 borders with swaps; E. Jerusalem as Palestinian capital; right of return to new Palestinian state, with a small, agreed upon number being able to return to Israel proper
To the extent that some Israeli politicians feel that restoring Palestinian dignity requires them to compromise Israeli security, it's not self-evident why we should unquestionably accept the narrative that the latter always takes precedence over the former
By definition, any peace settlement entails a *potential* risk to Israeli security. There's no way to preemptively guarantee that everything will be perfect, and to even treat that as the standard is absurd

#democratic primary: It's 12/1 and just over 2 months to the IA caucuses. So what the heck is going on in this primary that's being conducted in the middle of a constitutional crisis? Well, the bottom line is that young voters are steadier in their preferences than older voters.
Taking @surveyusa polling from Aug-Nov, we see that the 18-34 vote has barely moved for Warren (-1), Pete (+1), Biden (+2) and Harris (-1). For Bernie, there was a big drop of -10 from Aug to Sept, but has since stabilized at 35, highest of any candidate in that demo.
Among 35-49 voters, since Aug, Liz is +2, Pete (0), Bernie (-1), Joe (-5) and Harris (-4). Among 50-64 voters: Warren (+2), Pete (0), Bernie (-1), Biden (-4), Harris (-5). Among 65+: Warren (-13), Pete (+7), Bernie (+2), Joe (-4), Harris (-5).
