Israel-Palestine is that rare incredibly difficult "problem" whose solution is within realm of imagination: 67 borders with swaps; E. Jerusalem as Palestinian capital; right of return to new Palestinian state, with a small, agreed upon number being able to return to Israel proper
To the extent that some Israeli politicians feel that restoring Palestinian dignity requires them to compromise Israeli security, it's not self-evident why we should unquestionably accept the narrative that the latter always takes precedence over the former
By definition, any peace settlement entails a *potential* risk to Israeli security. There's no way to preemptively guarantee that everything will be perfect, and to even treat that as the standard is absurd
