Trump’s team is saying there couldn’t have been a quid pro quo on the call because Ukraine didn’t know about the hold until August.

We’ve heard varying testimony. Laura Cooper testified the Pentagon was told the day of the call that the Ukrainian embassy knew something was up.
Trump’s team is highlighting the fact that other senior US officials have testified that the Ukrainians didn’t raise anything with them for a month after that. It’s not exactly clear who knew what when; Zelensky says he didn’t know at the time of the call.
A former Ukrainian official, the former deputy foreign minister, also told the NYT that Ukraine knew in July. nytimes.com/2019/12/03/wor…

State of the Union addresses tend to be much less dishonest than almost every other kind of Trump speech. Because he usually sticks to script for these, and the overwhelming majority of his lies come when he is ad-libbing.
Trump's prepared speeches will sometimes include claims he previously seems to have made up. Other times, as with immigration during the midterms, staff will deliberately, strategically insert false claims into his texts. But mostly, Trump's lying is him doing his own thing.
More than actual false claims/lies, what you usually see in Trump speeches like State of the Union addresses is omitted context, cherry-picked data points, and questionable credit-claiming. But he doesn't usually, like, claim to have been named Michigan Man of the Year.

The Hannity-Trump interview has started airing. Hannity begins by talking about impeachment and asking, "Your reaction to all of it." Trump says it is all unfair, as was the Russia investigation -- to "my family" and other families.
"They don't care about lying -- you look at the lies," Trump says of Democrats. Touting the economy and other achievements, he says, "There's a revolution going on in this country. I mean, a positive revolution."
Trump repeats his lie about having gotten Veterans Choice passed. "We got them Choice," he says.

Ted Cruz got 14,000 retweets, one from the Trump campaign, for a claim Lev Parnas was just ejected from the Senate gallery - saying "#CantMakeItUp."

Parnas' lawyer and people in the gallery say this didn't happen. Parnas was in Washington but never entered the Senate.
Here's a tweet from Parnas' lawyer (who did get tickets from Schumer's office, which said he's a New York constituent who asked). The lawyer said in advance that Parnas couldn't enter the Senate, because of his ankle monitor, and wouldn't try.
